STIIIZY hosts first-ever, “Joint Efforts” employee volunteer event in Santa Monica, California.

Our STIIIZY team and organization has always been actively involved in supporting difference-makers and promoting social justice within our communities. This collaborative event with known organization Heal the Bay however, was the first time that we were able to extend the opportunity to our teammates at our headquarters in Los Angeles, Calif. on August 7, 2021.

The introduction of our first-ever, employee volunteer group: Joint Efforts.

Through Joint Efforts, we were able to invite our teammates across different departments to put our organizational values into practice at Los Angeles’s most iconic beach in Santa Monica. To accomplish this, we partnered with non-profit, environmental organization: Heal the Bay. This organization has dedicated their efforts in making the coastal waters and watersheds in greater Los Angeles safe, healthy and clean. For 36 years, Heal the Bay has been a strong and trusted advocate for the Santa Monica Bay. Their team continues to protect the coastline, restoring our waterways and speaking out for clean water policies to bring equity, safety and access for all.

A few dozen Joint Efforts volunteers combed Santa Monica Beach and collected nearly 40 lbs of refuse and over 150 cigarette butts and joint filters. The success of the first project undertaken by the Joint Efforts volunteers has set the foundation for our team to continue our focus on utilizing employees to create long-lasting impact and change.

We appreciate the employees who were able to make it for the first of many Joint Efforts employee volunteer events that we are set to host throughout each community across California and beyond.
