STIIIZY PROVIDES VETERANS IN DAVIS WITH ACCESS TO DONATED CANNABIS

STIIIZY Davis hosted its first SB34 Veteran Supply Drop this past January, bringing our community together around a day dedicated to those who have served.

STIIIZY partnered with our longtime friends at Weed for Warriors Project to help jumpstart our 2022 giving season. Through California’s SB34 compassionate care framework, we were able to connect more than 60 qualified veteran medical cannabis cardholders with donated cannabis products at STIIIZY Davis.

Veterans in attendance on Friday, January 21 were provided with donated cannabis products, accessories, and branded items that ranged from lanyards to dab kits. Guests also enjoyed freshly made breakfast dishes provided by Hannibal’s Catering.

Because of current federal laws and VA policy, veterans generally only have access to FDA approved pharmaceuticals through the Department of Veterans Affairs, which does not include cannabis. As a result, many veterans who choose to participate in their state’s medical cannabis program must navigate separate costs and systems on their own. SB34 events like this help reduce some of the financial burden for eligible medical cannabis cardholders while staying fully compliant with California regulations.
