STIIIZY SERVES & HONORS VETERANS ON MEMORIAL DAY

STIIIZY HOSTS BENEFIT EVENT FOR VETERANS AND BRINGS OUT THE ENTIRE CANNABIS COMMUNITY

Honoring Veterans This Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a time to recognize those who served in our military and gave everything for our country. As a veteran led company, supporting the veteran community is woven into who we are. For this year’s Memorial Day, we wanted to show up for veterans on a larger scale than ever before, bringing together partners from across the cannabis space to make it happen.

We teamed up with the Weed For Warriors Project to host an event dedicated to honoring veterans through community, wellness focused activities, and access to donated cannabis for qualified medical cannabis cardholders under California’s SB34 compassionate care framework. Thanks to incredible support from brands throughout the cannabis community, we offered roughly 20 different donated product samples for distribution to more than 100 qualified veterans. Participating partners included Napalm, NUG, Natura, Highland Oil Co, Big Oil Co, Grizzly Peak, Loudpack, 4Front Ventures, AmeriCanna, Buddies, Jelly Wizard Cannabis, Inanna Manufacturing, and Luchador.

Beyond the SB34 product donations, we hosted a farmer’s market style wellness fair that helped set the tone for the day. The event opened with a live bugle performance of Réveille. Veteran owned vendors joined us on site, along with catered meals from Bastards Canteen and a massage therapist offering services throughout the afternoon. We also welcomed a special guest appearance by Xzibit, who shared why Memorial Day holds personal meaning for him as the son of a Marine Corps veteran.

Because of how federal policy is structured, veterans generally only have access to FDA approved pharmaceuticals through the Department of Veterans Affairs, which does not include cannabis. Many veterans who participate in California’s medical cannabis program must navigate the system on their own, including the added financial responsibility. SB34 events like this help ease that burden by connecting qualifying medical cannabis patients with donated products through a compliant statewide framework.

We remain committed to supporting veteran voices and veteran led organizations year round. Memorial Day gave us the opportunity to bring that commitment to life in a meaningful way, and we look forward to continuing this work through future compassionate care programs and community partnerships.
