THE GIFT OF GIVING
How STIIIZY made the 2021 holiday season special for communities throughout California.
Every month, STIIIZY does its best to give back to the community. Whether it be through BLESSED by STIIIZY, supporting local organizations that are doing impactful work, or by supporting agents of change. There’s always room to provide love and support to underserved communities through STIIIZY.
That is why for the 2021 holiday season, STIIIZY wanted to provide as much positive change as possible: from Southern California to Northern California.
STIIIZY teamed up with a variety of organizations and agents of change. One of which is our long-term friends at the Trina’s Kids Foundation for their “Fill The Field” toy drive takeover in partnership with the Chargers. On December 14, 2021, our team joined Trina’s Kids and other sponsors to help fill the entire SoFi Stadium Field with over 15,000 toys to distribute to local kids in need for the 2021 holiday season at their 8th annual Gift Giving event at Hubble Studios.
STIIIZY having supported this by dropping off 100+ toys and Joint Efforts volunteers to help decorate and prep the field for the main event: letting kids run down from the bleachers to grab as many toys as they could hold.
The event was filmed in partnership with the Chargers and aired on December 23, 2021 right before Christmas.
In addition, our team hosted Holiday Toy Drives with various organizations such as Toys for Tots at the STIIIZY DTLA retail location as well as at various STIIIZY retails throughout the Bay Area. Asking loyal customers to donate new toys, stuffed animals, story books and more to benefit children in need this holiday season. All proceeds from each location benefiting children within the local community in which they reside.
Because of how many days there are in December, our team didn’t stop there.
We were able to sponsor and join our NorCal team in the 46th annual Chanukah in Union Square, San Francisco (part of the collection of holiday activities); as well as Delta-9 Herbal Evaluations toy drive on December 16th, while also being able to sponsor two families' holiday celebrations through their toy drive.
Internally, we spent some time with our employees through Joint Efforts to host a letter writing drive for the Last Prisoner Project at one of our facilities. Everyone was invited to make postcards that would be sent to inmates across the country that are currently incarcerated due to cannabis related charges. The Last Prisoner Project’s holiday letter-writing campaign aims to create much-needed connections with individuals that are incarcerated, and because of Covid-19 restrictions, visitations to correctional facilities have been limited — making an initiative like this more important than ever.
Community matters, even after the holiday season.
