CANNA GET A SECOND CHANCE: CAREER FAIR WITH 40 TONS

STIIIZY AND SHRYNE GROUP JOINS 40 TONS — A SOCIAL IMPACT CANNABIS BRAND — FOR THEIR CANNABIS CAREER FAIR IN HAWTHORNE, CALIFORNIA.

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, STIIIZY and Shryne Group joined 40 Tons as a title sponsor of the “Canna Get a Second Chance” Cannabis Career Fair in Hawthorne California. With over 300 job seekers, hiring managers and other important resources, the career fair helped individuals gain job offers and/or the much needed assistance to get their foot in the door in the cannabis space.

40 Tons is a social impact cannabis brand that’s been working tirelessly to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry, as well as advocate on behalf of those affected by cannabis prohibition. In addition to hosting over 20 cannabis companies at this event, it also included a myriad of other vital resources meant to help job seekers in the hiring process.

On top of gaining access to STIIIZY and other brands for career opportunities, the cannabis career fair also had resources such as headshot photographers, haircut opportunities, professional clothing available to those that couldn’t afford it, individuals to help fine-tune resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and many other great resources. The event also had a panel discussion on “Women of Color Taking the Lead in Cannabis” that included 40 Tons CEO and Co-Founder Loriel Alegrete, and Shryne Group’s very own board of directors member: Raquel Origel.

STIIIZY and Shryne Group are in great company with some of the most socially conscious brands in the industry, and it’s great to be one of the leading organizations that invests in the community. STIIIZY thanks everyone that came together for this hiring event for the hard work in supporting equitable hiring practices, dedication to restorative justice, and bringing opportunities to historically underserved communities, especially during Black History Month!

This is the first of many cannabis career fairs that 40 Tons will be hosting throughout the 2022 year, including another one in Los Angeles (TBD), one in Oakland (April 9), and one in Trenton, New Jersey (August 13).
