STIIIZY PROVIDES VETERANS IN DAVIS WITH MEDICAL CANNABIS

STIIIZY Davis hosts its First SB34 Veteran Supply Drop in January.

STIIIZY partnered with our great friends Weed for Warriors Project once again to jumpstart our 2022 giving season. Having been able to provide over 60 veterans with access to donated medical cannabis at STIIIZY Davis this past January.

Veterans in attendance on Friday, January 21st were provided with donated medical cannabis products, accessories and swag items that ranged from lanyards to dab kits. Veterans also got to enjoy freshly made breakfast food provided by Hannibal’s Catering services.

Medical cannabis is widely regarded in the Veteran community as a way to alleviate symptoms without the undesirable side effects that prescription opioids and anxiolytics can cause. These prescription medications have the potential to be not only addictive, but also life threatening in some cases, so it’s understandable that many veterans opt for a more holistic and natural approach to addressing complications, disabilities, and other ailments that may have resulted from their dedicated service.

This treatment option, although natural, still presents a financial hurdle to some medical card holding military service veterans. The system that was intended to help and support our soldiers find relief from physical and mental conditions is sorely lacking and allows vets to fall through the cracks. Under current laws and policy, veterans only have access to FDA-approved pharmaceuticals through the Department of Veterans Affairs, which does not include medical cannabis.

STIIIZY is a proud veteran-led company, and we salute all those who have served. We understand that these troops risked their lives to fight for our country, but they're not getting what they deserve back home, which is why it’s so vital to demonstrate our support and listen to their concerns.
