The Dolato Strain Experience

While we may never know Dolato’s breeder, we still learned enough from her parents to get a very good idea of who she is. Her Gelato #41 lineage has Thin Mint Cookies genetics, and her Dosido parent has GSC Genetics. So, Delato is most closely related to the notorious Cookies genetic lineage. Thank you, Cookie Fam.

Bag Appeal

Dolato gets her good looks from her Cookie parents and she’s a real stunner. Her perfectly conical flowers are tight, dense, and a brilliant olive and fern green that fades to lush purples when she’s finished properly.  The strain has rich violet undertones almost like purple velvet with sun bright orange pistils or hairs throughout the hybrid strain bud.

Orange hairs snake through her flowers, adding depth and contrast. Covering it all are heavy, crystalline trichomes that give Dolato her signature frosty shine, and make her colors that much more vibrant.

Growing Information

Dolato grows like a classic Indica marijuana strain— short, bushy, and dense. Experienced cultivators prune her a bit to open her up.  Further, a little defoliation at week 4 and week 6  may be needed to increase the exposure to air and light in the middle and lower secretions of the plant that tend to get congested and shaded as she fills out.

Dolato buds can be grown indoors or outdoors. Her yields are average to slightly below average, but she’s more resistant to disease and pests which may make her attractive for outdoor cultivators. She prefers a warm environment between 76-78 degrees, but dropping temps to the low 60s in the last two weeks will bring out her colors and improve her flower density. 

Dolato takes about 8-9 weeks to flower.
