STIIIZY San Bernardino Serves & Celebrates Over 100 Servicewomen
STIIIZY Cherishes The Commitment Of Our Women Veterans
For Women’s History month, STIIIZY stayed true to our veteran-led company roots and hosted our 5th Compassionate Care Event to honor and celebrate our Servicewomen in San Bernardino.
We invited over 100 medically qualified women veterans to skip to the front of the line to receive a care package filled with donated cannabis, a catered lunch, a free massage and access to health and wellness resources.
STIIIZY partnered with veteran-owned restaurant and catering company Café Organix, to provide plant-based meals and juices.
Returning SB34 vendor, R.A.Q Massage provided servicemembers with a free massage, tailored toward pain free functioning.
Strengthening Support Networks for Servicemembers:
San Bernardino County has long been a home for many US Veterans. The San Bernardino County Department of Veterans Affair was created in 1926, and is the oldest veteran’s service office in California, and one of the oldest in the country.
Post-pandemic, it was reported that the overall veteran population in San Bernardino is decreasing. However, the number of returning active duty servicemembers is increasing, with women comprising 10% of the total veteran population.
For servicemen and women, relying on word of mouth and community, to connect to resources, is customary. That’s why STIIIZY is constantly looking for innovative ways to connect cannabis communities, and support those who find solace in medicinal usage.
SB34 Supply Drop
We understand that even medical card holding military do not always have access to holistic and natural treatment options. Veterans have expressed at past SB34 events, that they resort to medical marijuana “drops” to mitigate most ailments that come from serving our Country and being on the front lines for years at a time.
“The Drop Zone,” in the military context, refers to the specific location, where a parachutist, or parachuted supplies are targeted to land for fellow foot soldiers. The Veteran community utilizes this mindset for SB34 events and help provide intel to other veterans in the surrounding areas.
